Welcome to Mililani Woods!
Mililani Woods is the home of the Ng family, who moved to Nolanville in 1997. Dennis, originally from the islands of Hawaii, had recently retired from the U.S. Army in Virginia. Marcy, hailing from the “Show Me” state of Missouri, was still serving on active duty when she received orders for Fort Hood, Texas. With that, the family packed up one last time and headed for the “Lone Star State”. After finding it more effective to ask the Lord to show them where He wanted to plant them, rather than them telling Him where they wanted to be, they arrived at Mililani Woods with great blessings and the Lord’s favor. Our involvement in the military community kept our home a hub of hospitality. That quickly began to extend to motorcyclists as well when we became more involved in a motorcycling ministry. We knew that God had “blessed us to be a blessing”, so hospitality became the norm. However, a change was on the horizon. After putting on a wedding and hosting two receptions in our own “backyard”, we began to see clearly the beauty of the land in our hands, which became the impetus for a critical reminder. The Lord had given us 11 acres of land to be used for His glory and the majority of it was laying fallow. At the encouragement of one of our daughters and our son-in-law, we began praying and seeking God’s wisdom and direction for MW. Although it had been used throughout the years for sharing with others, we felt that God had given us the land to be used for a much greater purpose than we could ever have imagined.
So, our humble home has been and continues to be transformed into a family owned and operated, home-based business seeking sustainability in order to give back to the local community and raise funds for ministry opportunities. Operated by Dennis & Marcy Ng and Bryn & Kerrie Villers, we welcome you to come and share with our family in the blessings and peace of Mililani Woods, enjoying nature, relaxing with friends and family in outdoor splendor, and capturing a few fabulous moments of joy to be with you for a lifetime.
So to you all we say,
“E komo ‘oukou iloko a kona ‘i puka me ka Mililani!”
“Enter His gates with thanksgiving!”
